What you will need:

3 lbs fresh party-cut chicken wings
1 container Talluto's Sweet Basil Pesto Sauce
1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp freshly ground Black Pepper
4 oz grated Pecorino Romano cheese
1 large lemon, juiced
1 jar Hot or sweet hoagie pepper, sliced

Pesto Air Fryer Wings Directions

  1. Place the chicken wing pieces in the air fryer in a single layer.
  2. Season with a little salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook the wings in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 20 minutes flipping the wings over 1/2 way through.
  4. Raise the temperature of the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook the wings for 10 minutes until they are crispy. After 5 minutes open the air-fryer and sprinkle the top of the wings with some Pecorino Romano cheese.
  5. Continue to cook the wings for the remaining 5 minutes. 
  6. While the wings are cooking, place the pesto sauce in a bowl large enough to accommodate the cooked wings. 
  7. Add the lemon juice to the pesto sauce.
  8. Add some sliced peppers, if desired.
  9. When the wings are finished cooking, remove them from the air fryer and place them in the bowl with the pesto sauce.
  10. Toss the wings gently to coat.
  11. Serve the wings immediately with a side of Caesar (or your favorite) salad dressing.

Notes

If you are a fan, try a drizzle of balsamic glaze over the top of the wings!
