What you'll need:
2 lb. Talluto's Mini Meatballs |
1 quart Beef Stock |
3 tbsp. Lemon Juice |
1 tbsp. Lemon Zest |
3 Bay Leaves |
1 1/2 tsp. Salt |
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper |
1/2 tsp. Sugar |
4 tbsp. Cornstarch |
4 tbsp. Cold Water |
Sicilian Style Meatballs Directions

Heat the beef stock with the lemon juice, lemon zest, and bay leaves in a medium size stock pot.

Bring the liquid to a gentle boil.

Make a slurry by dissolving the cornstarch into the cold water.

Once the stock comes to a boil, add the cornstarch slurry to the stock. Whisk well to incorporate.

Simmer the stock for about 2 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.

Add the meatballs to the stock and season with salt, black pepper, and sugar.

Bring the meatballs and the stock back up to a boil.

Cover and allow the meatballs to sit for at least 1 hour before serving.

Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
