Sicilian Style Meatballs

What you'll need:

2 lb. Talluto's Mini Meatballs
1 quart Beef Stock
3 tbsp. Lemon Juice
1 tbsp. Lemon Zest
3 Bay Leaves
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 tsp. Sugar
4 tbsp. Cornstarch
4 tbsp. Cold Water

Sicilian Style Meatballs Directions

    1. Heat the beef stock with the lemon juice, lemon zest, and bay leaves in a medium size stock pot.
    2. Bring the liquid to a gentle boil.
    3. Make a slurry by dissolving the cornstarch into the cold water.
    4. Once the stock comes to a boil, add the cornstarch slurry to the stock. Whisk well to incorporate.
    5. Simmer the stock for about 2 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.
    6. Add the meatballs to the stock and season with salt, black pepper, and sugar.
    7. Bring the meatballs and the stock back up to a boil.
    8. Cover and allow the meatballs to sit for at least 1 hour before serving.
    9. Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
