Ingredients

What you'll need:

1 package Talluto's Fresh Cut Fusilli
1 1/2 cups Milk
8 oz. Cooper Sharp American Cheese
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Brown Mustard
1/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Tomato, thinly sliced

Fusilli Mac & Cheese Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375.
    2. Melt 1 tbsp. butter and combine with the panko breadcrumbs. Set aside.
    3. To make roux, warm 1 tbsp of butter in a medium saucepan. Add 1 tbsp flour and whisk to combine.
    4. Simmer flour and butter mixture over low heat for 1 minute.
    5. Gradually, add milk to roux and whisk to incorporate.
    6. Over medium heat, bring the milk mixture up to a simmer.
    7. Add the cheese a few slices at a time to allow it to melt. After adding a few slices, mix well to combine.
    8. Once the cheese is incorporated into the sauce, season with salt, pepper, and mustard. Set the sauce aside.
    9. Cook fusilli according to the instructions on the package. Drain well.
    10. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and mix well to coat.
    11. Transfer pasta and cheese sauce to a greased baking dish. Layer sliced tomato on top and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and some sliced tomato if desired.
    12. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the breadcrumbs begin to brown.
